MEET US

The Monks Yard is a family run business – with the farm itself having been in our family for three generations now. It’s vision, ethos and branding are owned wholly by the Osborne family.

	Andrew Osborne Partner and Owner of Monks Yard Andrew is the man behind the vision of Monks Yard, a high quality Somerset conference centre and business venue. He was responsible for running the old dairy farm, taking it over from his father. Now spending his time with MY Community projects and conferencing.

	Marilyn Osborne Partner and Owner of Monks Yard Also involved in the running of the old dairy farm alongside Andrew, today Marilyn ensures our conference delegates and business clients are well looked after.

	Rebecca Holling Senior Manager The daughter of Andrew and Marilyn, Becky was heavily involved with the look and feel of the venue, from colour schemes to flooring! She now looks after the accounts and helps ensure the cafe and conferencing runs smoothly day to day.

	Dean Holling Senior Manager Having helped oversee the extensive restoration of The Monks Yard, Dean’s engineering and management skills ensure things run smoothly behind the scenes. Now looking after the public face of the business, website and marketing.

	Gina White Finance & Bookings Administrator Gina is our full time finance and bookings administrator, she will usually be your point of contact when emailing or called Monks Yard office.

	Carol Read Cafe Manager Carol is our cafe manager and ensures the smooth running of the cafe and catering teams. She is very often front of house and is there to help should you have any enquiries.

	Nicky O’Nions Catering Team Our newest member of the catering team

	Ethan Ives Catering team Ethan is a key member of the catering team and is often to be seen making our wonderful cakes!

	Lisa Osborne Conferencing & Community Team/Baby Basics coordinator Lisa is Andrew & Marilyns daughter. She helps out with conference set up and special events. She is also involved with MY Community and works with Liz to promote community events. Lisa is also our Baby Basics coordinator.

	Liz Tozer MY Community Team/Trust Admin Liz is the Monks Yard Trust administrator, and also works with Lisa on ‘MY Community’ and ‘Baby Basics’.

	Jane Marsh Cafe Team Jane works part time in the Cafe on Monday and Wednesday, she also helps out during busy periods.

	Jenny Barnes Cafe Team Jenny is the latest member of our cafe team.

	Vicky Phillips Cafe Team Vicky is one of the newest members of the cafe team who also helps out during our special events.

	Bernie Riley Cafe Team Bernie is a part time member of the cafe team and also helps out during busy times.

	Sam Dodd Cafe Team Samantha helps out in the cafe at busy times.

	John Channon Friend of Monks Yard Also helping with planting around Monks Yard and car parking on busier days.

	Yvonne Channon Friend of Monks Yard Helping co-ordinate the outdoor planting and car parking on busy days.

	Poppy 2006-2014 CEO Position Available Sadly Poppy has now joined the late, and much missed Tigger in the great cattery in the sky. (Please drive carefully folks). We are now seeking a new CEO who has much to live up to! From overseeing the day to day running of Monks Yard to enjoying a few laps outside MY Eating Place, the new applicant must have a friendly disposition and be very well groomed.
